VMDO 40th Anniversary

I led a team of five junior architects and summer interns to create an installation for VMDO’s 40th anniversary. We sifted through construction documents and records for forty works–one from every year. Newer projects had been done in Revit and I used an invented workflow to convert Revit models to Rhino solids via Dynamo and Grasshopper (and a lot of modeling time). Each of these models were 3D printed in PLA plastic and mounted to a custom milled aluminum bar with stainless steel standoffs. Total print time: 220 hours

Below the gallery, we also created these videos to reveal/announce the company’s new logo. This was scripted in Grasshopper and projected onto a steel wall in the lobby.
